Wide denim rudder pants featuring a detail from ‘Vesshcell’, an immersive colossal collaborative patchwork public artwork by SERAPIS, crafted from upcycled materials such as big bags and printed cotton, created by a team of 20 individuals over the course of a month for Horst, an art, music and architecture project based in Belgium, in 2023.

The pants’ silhouette is inspired by a ship’s rudder featuring a ‘scrap’ button on one side, and a hidden magnetic snap button on the other. These two frontal flaps simulate the boat’s steering apparatus which operates on the principle of unequal water pressures.
