Serapis SS26 ‘MOTHER TRADE 2 (MRGNC)’ is a narrative continuation of our FW25 ‘MOTHER TRADE’ collection, drawing from the large scale artwork of the same title we created for Sharjah Biennial 16. More specifically from the ’emergency engineering’ sculptures and photography in collaboration with the Sharjah Maritime Academy.
It is, among other things, a tribute to the maritime heritage of the emirate of Sharjah (UAE) and carries expanded translations of photographs, colours and textures that Serapis took from the Sharjah port and fishing market areas, together with elements of local craftsmanship.
